Montserrat Apartments by gaiarooms

The apartment is simple and cozy, in a secure building with a keypad. The street outside is one way and quiet. It's only a few blocks from the Sagrada Familia church, and there's a grocery store at the end of the street. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking to stay near the church.

The location is excellent, but the apartment itself was only okay. The room, linens, and utensils weren't clean, and outside noise could still be heard with the windows closed.

We stayed in August 2024, just steps from Basílica de la Sagrada Família. The AC was nice and cold, the wifi was fast, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was easy, and we enjoyed the stay.

The flat is only a few steps from Sagrada Familia, Carrefour, and several restaurants and bakeries. It was clean, though quite dark, with just one window. There were enough towels and toiletries for the four of us, but only one roll of toilet paper for the whole week. The reception is near La Rambla, while the accommodation is by Sagrada Familia, so you'll need to travel between them by metro or another way. We knew that beforehand, so it wasn't a problem. We arrived at 10 AM and, after waiting a few minutes for the receptionist, check-in was straightforward. The initial communication was fine, and they let us check in early at no extra cost. The damaged sofa bed was a very unpleasant surprise. We couldn't unfold it properly or sleep on it until we stuffed its pillows underneath to prop it up. The wardrobe was damaged too, and its sliding doors nearly fell out when we tried to open it. We contacted reception right away by email. They told us to prop the bed with the pillows and said they'd contacted maintenance, but nobody came the entire week. We followed up by email and in person. They said they already knew about the issues and were waiting for metal parts to repair the bed and wardrobe. They offered neither a discount nor a room change. Agoda was very willing to help, but the Shot stay group company refused any compensation. The place was fine, but communication and willingness to fix problems were terrible, so I don't recommend this apartment.
