Casa Galileo

We arrived in the middle of the night, but check-in was smooth and easy. The rooms were clean and alright, and the location right in the middle of the island worked perfectly.

A warm welcome, comfortable place to stay, and a lovely Mallorcan village. Recommended.

A nice place, with spacious, clean rooms. Just be aware there's no air conditioning.

We stayed at the end of July 2025 and booked through Booking.com. I can't leave a review there now, as I think the window is only about 90 days, but people considering this place should know what we encountered. The room was advertised with a courtyard view and a dressing room. It had neither. The church across from the accommodation was fine by us, and we didn't need a dressing room, but those details shouldn't have been in the room description. The larger problem was that much of the Booking.com listing didn't match what guests could actually use. It showed a restaurant among the accommodation amenities, but there isn't one on site. There's a bar only a few meters away where you can get something to eat; a proper restaurant is farther off and has nothing to do with the property. The listing also mentioned an outdoor area with garden furniture. There is a small courtyard shown in one of the photos, but guests couldn't use it. A kitchen was listed too, with cleaning supplies under it, which gave the impression it was available to guests. It wasn't. It was for the owner's use only. What's the point of listing things guests can't use? The activities mentioned may all be available somewhere on the island, but the map makes clear the property is in the center, so even the nearest beach is quite a distance away. There's also no wellness area or hair and beauty salon on site, despite those appearing in the description. Check-in was disappointing as well. We got a Booking.com message saying we could arrive later than the check-in time, but it gave no explanation, apology, or offer of compensation if the change didn't suit us. There was hair scattered around the room when we arrived, especially in the bed. Room service came daily, but some hairs were still left behind each time, mostly in the bed and also in the shower. The accommodation in this charming town is okay and could serve as a base for exploring the island, perhaps with a rental car. But at least through Booking.com, I found it too expensive given how much of the description was inaccurate. We were disappointed by the lack of honest, clear information and probably wouldn't book again. A real shame.
