The rooms are simple, and I found the pillow a little uncomfortable. Breakfast, though, was complete and varied: toast, hard-boiled eggs, cold cuts, fruit, muffins, cake, yogurt, cereal, and fresh orange juice. They also take plenty of Covid precautions, which I appreciated. A good option if you’re in the area.

The receptionist is a wonderful hostess, attentive to everything, and the place is very quiet. You’re close to the Picos de Europa mountains, with a bus stop right across the way that takes you there. The Cova Basilica is just a two-minute drive away.

The bedrooms have been updated with modern amenities for a good night's rest, while the shared areas keep the original style. That balance comes from carefully restoring the old family home. Its architecture and privileged setting blend into the natural surroundings, making it a symbol of comfort and tranquility.

An inexpensive, tasty sandwich is a handy way to fuel up before hiking to the Covadonga Lakes. There’s a good picnic spot next to the Auseva Hotel, across from the bus stop for the lakes.
