Albergue de Cretas

We paid €62 for two people to use a room meant for six, and luckily nobody else was in it. There were bunk beds and just two power outlets for the whole room. The place was badly kept, with noisy doors and windows that wouldn't open. We'd paid less elsewhere for a clean bathroom, made beds, a well-kept room, and a friendly welcome. We booked three weeks ahead, but arrived to find the hostel shut. A nearby worker helped us out. A complete management failure.

After cycling 100 km, we arrived to find the hostel closed, despite having booked and confirmed on WhatsApp. Nobody answered the number on the door. We eventually got in touch with a woman who works there, and she helped us out of goodwill so we wouldn't be left stranded. The managers seem disreputable to me. Anyone planning to stop here could get an unpleasant surprise.

The welcome was warm, and the staff can suggest things to do nearby. There are all the spaces and amenities guests need. It's right beside the Zafan Greenway and close to the village of Cretas, which makes for a great location. Highly recommended, and I plan to come back.

The staff were lovely, attentive, and welcoming. We came in July and felt very comfortable here. Everything was really clean, and the facilities are quite new, with air conditioning and a bathroom in the room. There's a pool too, which we appreciated. The hostel is close to town and right by the Vía Verde trail. I'd happily recommend it.
