The facilities were clean, but that was about the only thing to recommend. An overpriced overnight stop, with traffic noise intruding from 6 a.m. and nothing else to commend the site or its location.

The site felt like a charming little oasis, full of trees and flowers. I arrived in a 7.5 mt motorhome and was allowed to pick my own spot. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

The pitches are gravel and full of stones, which didn’t suit us as slow travellers looking to put up a tent and call it a night. It’s overpriced for that, even though the shower was good. For €25 a night, that’s the least you’d expect. We’d called earlier and were quoted €25 for two people and one tent, already a lot for low season. On arrival, the receptionist said one night would cost €34. If we hadn’t called ahead, they could have charged us a high-season rate without us knowing. The man didn’t offer even a basic apology for what seemed like a dishonest mistake. Bikers and hikers might want to save themselves the trip.

The kids loved the huge pool area, with lots of room and even cabanas. Our hotel room was a good size, and the staff were very helpful. We stayed for one night and had a great time. The restaurant food was excellent, too. Since we travel with a roof box, underground parking usually isn’t an option for us. Here we could park safely just outside.
