The rooms are always spotless, and the staff are helpful. It’s good value for money, but the lack of a cafeteria for breakfast is what costs it a star. Smoking indoors used to be allowed, and I suspect people still do it too often, since some rooms smell of smoke. If that happens, I’m sure they’d be happy to move you to another room, as not all of them have that smell.

The room was dark and noisy, and the bathroom was small. We checked out a day early, and no one even asked why. The underground car park is awkward to get out of: you need to rev the car hard to make it up the slope, while hoping there aren’t pedestrians passing at the top. It’s in the centre of a very Muslim community.

There were flies in the room when we arrived, and there’s no bedside table for your things. Reception is not open 24 hours, and there never seems to be anyone there.

Very clean hotel and ideal for the price. There’s no lift, but it’s only one floor. The hot drink machine in the hallway comes in handy.

A nice, clean hotel with good appointments, but reception closing from 1pm to 5pm is a real pain in the arse.
