We loved the food and the rooms, they were something else. Mr. Pedro was an amazing host and helped us with everything he could. The hospitality was wonderful too, simply magnificent.

Casa de Castro ended up being our favorite of the three stops on our drive from Bilbao to A Coruña. Rosa and Pedro are lovely, and their family run hotel is well kept, with clean, nicely furnished rooms and a fresh, superb breakfast included. It works well for a holiday, with beaches nearby, and is also a great base for places like the Picos de Europa, A Coruña and Santiago de Compostela. I've seen a lot of Spain, and nowhere else have people spoken such good English. That was lucky for my daughter, since I can get by in Spanish :-)

The staff are very attentive, and the services are really good. Just be aware there’s no elevator or access ramp for anyone with reduced mobility. Our room was spacious, though we could hear road noise. A very nice hotel.

The staff are capable, and the place has been decorated with good taste. The road right beside it can be a drawback, particularly if your room faces that way. Our room also had a sloping ceiling, which made using the shower awkward for me at 185 cm tall. Maybe small things, but the nightly price wasn't cheap, so worth bearing in mind.
