We spent two very comfortable, happy days exploring Monforte de Lemos and the surrounding area, and would stay here again if we returned to this lovely town. Our cozy room had a large, comfortable double bed, a small but clean bathroom, a radiator, and spacious wardrobes. Upstairs, there's a lounge with a sofa and a skylight looking out onto the magnificent building across from the hostel. The location is right opposite the Royal College of the Piarist Fathers in Plaza de la Compañía. Inside, the place has a medieval warrior feel, with Templar mannequins, helmets, shields, other artifacts, and Osprey books about the Crusades. 10/10.

The main drawback for pilgrims is that check-in is at 3 pm, which is pretty late. A more convenient time might draw more people walking the Camino de Invierno (Winter Way). There's also some night noise from cars passing the road-facing windows. Closing them fixes it, though sleeping with the windows shut may not suit everyone. Otherwise, I don't understand the negative reviews. It's a clean hostel across from the Escolapios school, the former Jesuit school, and everything is in its place. Check-in was automatic. For its location and what it offers, I think it's perfectly fine.

The room was really comfortable, with a great mattress, a hydromassage shower, an outdoor hydromassage bathtub, a refrigerator, and a microwave. I especially appreciated the microwave while traveling with a 4-year-old. The owner offered me a better option than Booking.com and made check-in incredibly easy, even though we'd just come from Cabeza de Manzaneda after a day in the snow with our young daughter. The hostel is right in central Monforte, where you can stroll around at night without worrying and get dinner and drinks before bed. Thanks so much for everything. We'll be back.

It's a small, cozy hotel, and I love it. The rooms are really comfortable and have everything you need for your stay. The manager is very friendly and always looks for the best option for you. The service is unbeatable, and we'll definitely be back.
