The outdoor area is spectacular, with really comfortable sofas. There’s a barbecue with a light that lets you see the cooking area from a distance, so you don’t have to eat while insects are attacking you. Inside, the house is beautiful, well kept, and clearly set up with practical details in mind. There are embroidered cushions with the logo that look nice and are very comfortable. The soundproofing is quite good, though the bathroom walls are the only ones with some damage. We stayed in the Mar house. There are three structurally connected but independent houses called Tierra (Earth), Mar (Sea), and Aire (Air). Access was easy: we had a code for the first gate and another for the main door, so there was no need to carry keys. The host left the keys and gate remote inside too. There’s indoor parking for three cars, but it’s not very spacious. We had two cars and left one outside in case guests from the other house needed room. That worked fine, as there’s street parking less than a 5-minute walk away. The welcome pastries and herbal teas were perfect for our first day, until we could go shopping. The house has one downstairs bedroom with two single beds and another bed upstairs. It also has Wi-Fi, which we didn’t use, a TV, and a very well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine and detergent, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator. One annoyance was the lawnmower. Part of the property is fenced, but there are gaps for it to pass through. It came around at least twice a day, went away to recharge, then returned. If you’re cooking or having dinner outside in the morning or evening, you have to move out of its way. Still, it’s a highly recommendable house in a privileged location, about 15 minutes from beaches and 1.5 km from Cudillero. You can walk to Puto and visit its palace, and it’s a place I’d return to.
