The location was the main plus for us. It’s in the center rather than the old town, with lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby, so there’s no need to climb up and down the hill to get to them. The hotel also looks fairly new and modern, and the shower had good water pressure. Still, we were very disappointed with our two-night stay. The mattress in our room was too soft and uncomfortable, while the pillows were too hard. Breakfast was poor: no eggs or vegetables, bread that didn’t taste fresh, bad machine coffee, and little variety. There was also a constant chemical smell in the lobby that we found unpleasant. I’d look for another option in Cuenca.

We wanted somewhere modern, quiet, and very clean in central Cuenca, and this hotel fit the bill. Francisco was kind and helped us through the tedious check-in process. Our stay at Arevalo's was perfectly good, and I’d recommend it.

The town views were beautiful, and the hotel felt really comfortable. It’s a fantastic place, newly refurbished. Reception were super friendly and helpful when we arrived, though less so the next morning when we asked them to order a taxi. That was the only downside. It exceeded our expectations.

The room quality was poor for the price, and the owners and staff were extremely rude. Breakfast was lacking in both range and quality, with mouldy bread, nearly rotten fruit, and cold coffee.

For this price, I think it’s the best hotel in Cuenca. We loved our stay: clean and quiet, with good service and a great location. Perfect.
