The view over the valley from our room was stunning, and the location is excellent, a 10/10. Staff were friendly too. Still, I came away with mixed feelings because so much feels cheap, worn and neglected. It seems like they only fix things once they're really broken, perhaps because there's no maintenance staff. If the rooms and everything else were in perfect shape, they could charge twice the price.

We had a nice few days, with adequate food and rooms and a lovely view across the Cuenca valley. Walking around the old town was strenuous but really interesting and very photogenic. We didn't enjoy the tram ride. It would work better to drop people off one way so they can see the town, then pick them up later for the return. The driver seemed bored.

The restaurant is good, though I mean the actual restaurant, not the bar-cafeteria. The cafeteria is fine for a drink and has cheap food, but it was rather mediocre. I'd avoid the breakfast. The hotel itself is convenient, affordable, well located and quiet. Ask for a room with a view: the view is splendid, and those rooms are calm, while the street side can be noisy at times. Good value overall.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the central heating worked perfectly. Mattresses could be a little more comfortable. Staff were very nice and helpful, and breakfast was generous, tasty and had lots of options. A cozy, pleasant hotel in Cuenca's historic area.

The location is good, and the reception and bar have been renovated. The rooms, though, are very old-fashioned and badly need renovation. The shower didn't work, nor did the coffee machine at breakfast. The barman also didn't know drinks like a Cuba Libre or Mojito, or how to make them.
