The village is close by, with restaurants that are good value, and there's a pool and jacuzzi to enjoy. It's a peaceful place for a Spanish holiday. A couple of things got in the way: some resident owners have dogs that can be quite noisy, and on Sundays the market makes getting into and out of the village very difficult.

People in this little village are so friendly, and the surrounding area is brilliant. The place is clean and tidy, with the Sunday market right on the doorstep selling everything from fruit and veg to clothes and accessories. Prices were the one thing I noticed, everything seemed a little more expensive than in the UK.

Residents have secure underground parking at these lovely gated apartments in the small fishing village of Villaricos. The buildings have traditional Moorish Andalusian architecture arranged around four courtyards.
