The upper bedroom and living room were easily the best parts, and the private parking inside the property felt reassuring because the location seemed a little unsafe. Still, I can't recommend this rural house for what it costs. There’s rubbish beside the house that isn’t collected daily, which makes the local council seem neglectful. The biggest issue is damp in several areas. One double bedroom has an indoor sink and shower, but the smell was so strong we couldn't sleep there. The owner knew about it and brushed it off as something that happens when it rains. The room was full of air fresheners and incense, creating an awful mix that was unbearable after ten minutes, let alone overnight. We rented a three-bedroom house at the price of a four-bedroom one, while also losing a toilet and shower. Since the owner was out of town, he brought an extra bed only two days later, so for two nights an adult had to share a single bed with a child. Heating was set at 18/20°C, and the owner got angry when we turned it up. Most areas don't have AC for summer. The house was also full of bugs: we saw spiders in the bedrooms, ants in the kitchen, and mosquitoes. That's the Delta, of course, but it was still a problem. The location is an alley in an uninhabited village, with nothing special around it. The kitchen was poorly equipped for the price. The ceramic hob was weak, utensils were old and worn, and the fridge froze things. The BBQ had no utensils, and they didn't provide charcoal or firewood, as most houses do. The owner seemed focused on making money rather than our experience. He monitored the temperature, whether we moved things, and how much electricity or gas we used. It was unbelievable. We had booked a flexible check-out and gave two days' notice, but he said the clock change meant we had to leave at 10:00 AM instead of 11:00 AM, with no other option. He sent his underage son to handle check-out rather than face us. The stairs to the upstairs room were very steep and had no handrail.

The house itself is lovely, with rooms ranging from especially beautiful to simply pleasant. I didn't enjoy the area at all, though, and would rather stay in and make the most of the barbecue. Would I come back? No.

There are several outdoor spots to enjoy at different times of day, along with a pool and barbecue. The garden is beautifully kept, and the host is very friendly. It’s a welcoming house, ideal for an easygoing weekend with family or friends.

A lovely rural home, decorated with real taste and equipped with everything we needed. I gave it four stars because they charged tourist tax for the two teenagers with us, aged 13 and 14. I later learned that the tax is charged from 16.
