Apartamento Rosa

The staff were very friendly and gave great service. The hotel also has easy access to the beach. The rooms and bathrooms are very dated, and the place feels old-fashioned, with a bit of a 'The Shining' vibe. There's a phone in the bathroom and a very weird hair dryer. The pool is there, but guests leave towels on the chairs and then disappear for the day, which was super annoying. It seems better suited to an older generation. We felt looked down on by some of the other guests. Maybe it's just different generations?

We felt relaxed by the hotel's seaside location, which was perfect. Everything was clean and well kept, and the facilities were excellent. The staff were warm and welcoming. Even those who didn't speak much English made a real effort to engage, which we appreciated. Hotel Rosa was a lovely place to stay, and I'd highly recommend it for a friendly coastal getaway.

After a long drive, I arrived exhausted and hoping to rest with my dog. Instead, the front desk staff member bluntly said they didn't accept dogs, and was rude about it. He insisted the property had messaged me, though I never received anything, and made it sound like the mix-up was my fault. There was no warmth or hospitality. He even sarcastically offered, “If you can prove we allow pets, you can stay for free,” as if it were a game. His tone alone was enough to put me off staying. I travel often and use booking sites' “pets allowed” filter. I chose this hotel because it came up as pet-friendly, and the property had sent a confirmation email with check-in instructions, so I thought everything was settled. The photos were also very misleading. The property looked rundown and nothing like them, and the front desk felt outright hostile. I found somewhere else to stay and was glad I did. The hotel may claim experience, but it lacked professionalism and basic courtesy. If you travel with a pet or expect respectful treatment, I'd strongly recommend booking somewhere else.

The staff were friendly, helpful and had a sense of humour, making this a really enjoyable stay. It's a small, traditional hotel, easy to get to and close to the beach. My room was spacious, very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was a good-priced buffet with plenty of options for different tastes. I'd definitely stay again. 🇨🇵
