Jardines de las Marinas

The complex was quiet, comfortable, and great, but our rented apartment was a huge letdown. We’ve never stayed in an apartment in such terrible condition, and we won’t come back to this one.

I’ve spent many summers coming back here. It feels like home to me.

Our ground-floor apartment opened straight onto the three pools and a big green area where you could sunbathe. It was clean, roomy, and had plenty of kitchen utensils and tableware, along with a fairly large bathtub. The terrace was large too, and the beach was a two-minute drive away. The woman managing it was very friendly and helpful, even though she doesn’t speak the language. Parking nearby is easy and free, or you can use the apartment’s own lot for €10 a day. We’d happily return, highly recommended.

It was cheap, and we definitely got what we paid for. The pictures bore no resemblance to the dirt we had to deal with. The house hadn’t been cleaned properly: the duvet, sofa cushions, curtains, and kitchen towels were dirty, the towels were stained and used, the kitchen drawers and dishes were dirty, some glasses were broken, and the toilet bowl was filthy. There were only three forks and one wine glass. The oven and pan were dirty too, and the cleaning products were nearly used up. Here we are again.
