Port Denia Hotel

The activity programme ran from 10.30 to 5 pm and offered loads to do, including archery, rifle shooting, darts, boules and mini golf. The activity organisers were great fun, and Veronica stood out for her personality and energy. I especially loved her Heritage walk, full of information and laughter. Sylvia, the Saga Rep, always seemed to be smiling as she welcomed people at her desk, and was helpful in every way. I enjoyed her company on the trip to Moraira too. The pool area had plenty of sunbeds and lovely palm trees, and I thoroughly enjoyed the activities. The hotel was clean and fresh, with cleaners doing an excellent job. I had a lovely balcony view, and there was a good choice at mealtimes. I particularly liked the desserts and tasty breakfast pastries, and the coffee was good. What's not to like at Hotel Port Denia ❤️

The dining room can get very noisy, with people constantly moving around the buffet and staff clearing tables so meticulously that plates and cutlery crash about. I'd avoid a seat near the clearing stations. Still, it was a great week away, and I've already recommended both Denia and Port Denia Hotel. The hotel and the whole area were spotlessly clean and well maintained. My room was spacious, well equipped and had heating for the cooler evenings. Food was varied and nicely presented, and microwaves were easy to find for reheating. The location made it easy to get to town, the marina, port, beaches and coastal walks. Bar staff were friendly and efficient, and the rest of the hotel felt welcoming.

We spent a week here in early December and will certainly come back. The buffet had something for everyone, always nicely presented and well cooked, and the daily activity programme was plentiful and varied. Staff were excellent and attentive to everything we needed. Our room was spacious and had all we required. We got around by local train and taxi; walking into Denia was easy too, and a taxi is a cheap option if you don't fancy the walk.

The buffet at breakfast and dinner was decent, with good quality food and a reasonable choice, though the atmosphere felt chaotic. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel isn't luxurious, but it's a decent place for a week, and the clean rooms are adequate. Many have sea views. It's at a roundabout at one end of the Marine drive, with a quiet promenade just across the road. The main part of town, with its bars and restaurants, is about a 20-minute walk away. There's also a small selection of shops and restaurants behind the hotel.
