I don’t get the negative reviews. This is a small, efficient hotel with clean, basic rooms and good value. The walk through the park to the city center and bull ring is a nice 10 k. I had a great afternoon, then took a taxi back and stopped for a drink at Ohlala bar around the corner. The place was rocking. I went to bed at 10 pm and didn’t hear a thing until I woke at 8. Breakfast was quick and simple, then I was on my way.

We arrived exhausted at 4:20 AM after traveling from Portugal, only to be told our fully paid booking had been cancelled at 4 because check-in ended at 7 PM. We’d chosen this hotel because it advertised a 24/7 front desk, and I’d completed online check-in and received confirmation. I knew the 7 PM check-in time was written there, but with a 24-hour desk and confirmed online check-in, cancelling the reservation made no sense. The staff member at reception spoke very little English and called someone. That person kept saying “let me explain” without actually explaining, then told us to book again for the same night and pay twice, despite rooms being available. We refused and had to find somewhere else at 5 AM. Booking.com wasn’t helpful either, suggesting we pay again. The hotel still hasn’t refunded us for the cancelled night we couldn’t stay in. Unreliable and misleading, and the way this was handled felt unprofessional. Avoid it if you don’t want to risk losing money and being stranded in the middle of the night.
