The photos gave us the wrong impression. It didn’t meet hotel standards at all, and although it’s listed as a “4 star hotel,” arriving there was a shock. It looked more like an abandoned warehouse, and the facilities were very poor. After cleaning our room, the cleaning women left its window open. The windows and doors of every room open onto a shared corridor, so someone could get in from outside. Our luggage was still in the room, and they had left the window open.

I had lunch at the Mare Hotel, and the Asian food was excellent: a big portion of chicken and vegetables in Thai curry sauce, with subtle flavours and no grease at all. It was healthy, high-quality food. The staff were attentive, and the pool looked very inviting.

This place feels like a motel rather than a hotel. It’s all shabby, from the badly painted walls to the cheap furniture, and the air conditioning is really poor. In May, you can’t use the pool or enjoy the sun because it’s apparently still “winter” in Sevilla. I’ll definitely never come back.

The spa and shower were a real highlight, and the price was so low that we’ll be back soon. We loved them. The room was one of the best I’ve stayed in, too, and that comfortable bed is already missed.

A lovely pool, with tables right beside it, and a colorful bar. It’s such a comfortable spot to unwind with a drink.
