I still haven't received my deposit, despite asking several times. I cancelled in March for a booking at the end of July, and the owner first said she'd pay me back when she was able, asking me to trust her. As of August 1st, she still wasn't answering my calls or WhatsApp messages. My daughter tried calling from her own phone and got through. The owner shouted at her, said she'd return the money whenever she wanted, and threatened to report me for harassment. I can't understand deciding to keep money that isn't yours and then threatening people. Maybe she doesn't treat everyone who cancels this way, but this has been a terrible, sad experience with the house and its owner. I never even got to enjoy the place.

The steady traffic from people coming to pay for their campervan stays was noisy and confusing, and the barbecue wasn't usable after dark because there was no light. We also heard Eva and her family talking inside the house, along with other things I'll leave unmentioned out of respect. There was sometimes a bad smell, and I couldn't work out where it came from. At first the house seemed lovely, but problems cropped up as the hours went by. The built-in bathtub advertised wasn't usable: hot water ran out after about 20 minutes, not enough for four people to shower without taking turns. We had to plead for more hot water and got only a little extra after three days. The large burner on the stove didn't work either. The sunny photos show the owners' house, not the rental, which gets no sun at all. I wouldn't recommend it.

I still want to go back, even though it's been two years since our stay. The owners were wonderful and never minded that we stayed up late. They let us train our dogs, keep sheep in their shed that we planned to buy locally, and graze them peacefully on their land. The house is comfortable and beautiful, in a great spot for anyone after a mountain setting. It's attached to the owners' home, with its own entrance on the other side, and they were attentive without intruding.
