The house is very spacious, and the heating and hot water worked quite well. We appreciated being able to spend a few days there as a family, and the people we met were friendly. The location is great too, in a quiet area close to the town and shops. Booking was easy, communication was good, and they were excellent about welcoming us and being flexible with check-in and check-out. But the house felt neglected and could be improved with little effort. The beds were uncomfortable: worn, noisy plank frames and sagging mattresses. There are two living rooms, but not many chairs in either, so we kept carrying them back and forth. The lighting was very poor in every room. Only two bulbs worked in the living rooms, and in the kitchen the two hanging bulbs were hidden behind wall sconces, making it hard to cook. The low range hood, which had no extractor fan, was easy to bump your head on. We had to wash the dirty dishes and pots and pans before using them. There were only two dishwasher tablets for a large house and a four-day stay. The bathrooms had just two toilet rolls and no basic wastebaskets. There were few glasses and utensils, only two kitchen towels, and no cutting boards. The bathtub had no shower curtain, so it was hard to use without splashing water everywhere, and the shower hoses were broken. We had to buy one for the downstairs shower.

The place was clean and well located, but not properly equipped for 16 people. The mattresses, pillows, bedding, and towels all needed replacing, and using more than one tap at a time meant poor water pressure. Cooking for a group that size was very awkward: the stovetop was extremely slow, the kitchenware was poor quality, and the low exhaust vent was a constant head-bumping hazard. There are two dining areas, but neither is set up for everyone to eat together.

We spent the December long weekend here, and the price situation left a bad taste from the start. I found it on Escapada Rural at €1390 for five days, but after I chose to rent it, I was redirected to Fideshome, the real estate agency managing the property for the owner. They said the price on Escapada Rural was wrong and it should be €1590. We weren’t happy, but with few options nearby for 16 people, we booked anyway. The house was spacious and generally well located, but for that price we expected much better. There were very few kitchen utensils and only two bathrooms for 16 people, which was awful. The pillows and mattresses were bad, and the towels and blankets looked like they belonged to grandma. Water pressure was terrible, barely reaching the bathrooms and kitchen, and even after waiting over 15 minutes for the shower to warm up, you couldn’t control the temperature. It was a disaster for the price. I think the house should cost €900, or €1000 at most, and the whole group plans to post about it on social media. The truth is, a small investment could make the house fine. It feels like they’re relying on people needing somewhere to rent and on the shortage of rural houses to meet demand. They don’t care. It’s a shame they’re ripping us off like this.

The host was really friendly, and the house is in a peaceful area with all the amenities. It’s huge and works well for large groups, with two floors that each have their own kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedrooms.

There’s a little children’s park and a sports field nearby, and the house itself is in a very quiet area. It sleeps 16, with six bedrooms, two bathrooms, two kitchens, one of them with a dining area, and a living room. Outside there’s a large terrace with a pool and barbecue. One kitchen has everything you need to cook almost anything. The beds are worn and creak. It’s a large country house.
