Apartamentos Dream Sea

It’s a quiet area near the beach, and the apartments are spacious, with big terraces. The large pool had clean water, and we found the place very comfortable. A few kitchen basics were missing, but nothing major: there was just one frying pan, and no scissors or dish towels, for example.

There are two pools, one small and one large, and the bathtubs are jacuzzis. Wi-Fi and parking are included, and you get in with a card instead of a key. The electric blinds make the apartment feel quite modern. Both air conditioners were broken, though, and we had to restart them several times overnight. Because we were so hot, they also had to give us the key card for another room. Still, it’s fine for a family stay.

We stayed this week in the Dream Sea block, number 11, 1J, and found the place mediocre. The apartment was very old, with a sagging sofa bed that meant my son couldn’t sleep properly. Cleaning was poor too. When I moved the sofa, it looked like nobody had swept underneath for months. The taps were clogged with limescale, the toilet was loose, the cupboards smelled unpleasant and musty, and there were hardly any kitchen utensils. In short, it was a disaster. My cousin stayed with us in a different apartment and theirs was even worse. I don’t recommend it.

The apartment was much larger than it looked in the photos, with excellent finishes, two bathrooms, three terraces, and spacious bedrooms and other rooms. It was quiet, with plenty of parking and the beach just steps away. There’s a bus stop right outside, the promenade leads on foot to the port, and the supermarket is a couple of blocks away. It was very well equipped, though we still missed a few kitchen items such as paper towels and scissors. Dust made the terraces less clean, and the jacuzzi seemed to have been unused for a long time, so we couldn’t use it. The staff explained everything clearly and we had no problems, though we never actually saw anyone. The terrace table was a bit small for five people and a baby. We arrived on October 1st, when the pool was already closed. Some things could be improved, but we’d definitely return.
