Hotel Comfort Dauro 2

The room warmed up well, the bed was comfortable, and the location was really good. The shower head was moldy, though, and those small hygiene details bother me quite a bit. Breakfast was okay and filling, which was enough since I didn't expect much. The coffee was unfortunately quite bad.

Being near the cathedral, bars and the bus stop for the Alhambra was convenient, but the rest of the stay was disappointing. On the second day, after the room was supposedly cleaned, the towels and sheets were dirty. We'd left the towels on the floor as instructed, but they were just picked up and hung back as if fresh, and even the extra towel they added was visibly dirty. The bed had been made, but there was a new stain on the sheets. I reported it at reception and was told someone would come soon. We waited 40 minutes, went back, and were told the cleaners had already left. The receptionist hadn't told us, tried to sort it out or apologized, and later questioned whether we'd clearly asked for cleaning, which felt irrelevant. They eventually moved us next door, where the shower flooded the whole bathroom. I also had to bring my pillow from the previous room because the one there was dirty too.

The location was spot on, just a quick, easy walk to centro, and our room stayed quiet despite the street. The AC worked really well, so we slept comfortably. Staff were super friendly, and the rooms were excellent for the price. We were very happy with the stay and would definitely recommend it.

The room is very simple, so keep in mind this is a 3 star hotel. Still, the location is exceptional, the staff are friendly and helpful, and our double-glazed room was very quiet, with two French doors that opened. We slept really well in the comfortable bed. I especially appreciated having a top sheet, blanket and coverlet, so we could adjust the temperature. I often have to pull a duvet out of its cover and ask for a blanket elsewhere. Thank you, Dauro 2, for thinking about our sleep comfort!
