The communal areas at the main hotel were lovely, with places to sit for tea and enjoy the views near the beach. We stayed in La Banana, a short walk away along a quiet road, surrounded by banana plantations. The room itself felt a little bare, and the lighting was rather stark, but we loved having a big, sunny balcony. Breakfast was excellent, and we had a fantastic stay.

The views were beautiful wherever we looked, and the area made a lovely base for exploring. It felt peaceful and away from Tenerife's mass tourism and high-rise all-inclusive resorts. We could walk down to the hotel's own beach to watch the waves, and the pool was really warm. Breakfast had everything we wanted, with plenty available. There's a good restaurant at the top of the drive, then a little farther along a local bar with well-priced food and drinks. A glass of wine was €1, and two burgers with chips and drinks came to €16. We had a lovely stay and would definitely come back if we're in Tenerife again. We also met some celebrities at the hotel, so it's clearly a popular place to stay.

The La Bananera suite worked perfectly for my husband and me during our four-night stay at El Patio. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were warm and helpful, nothing seemed like too much trouble. We loved swimming in the beautiful pool, and the whole place felt peaceful and restful. Breakfast had a great range of food. It was just the break we needed from stressful jobs, and we'll definitely return. Thank you, El Patio!

A lovely spot if you want peace and quiet away from the main resorts, especially for walking. The old buildings are beautiful, and the setting is truly tranquil. Dinner means getting in the car, though we chose to walk and have late lunches instead, followed by wine and nibbles. There are plenty of nice places to sit with a glass of red and take in the gardens or views. What a great find.

The courtyard and gardens are beautiful, and the rooms were delightful. We had a great stay. Breakfast was fine rather than special, though the coffee was lovely and the bread fresh. Tea was available later in the day, but there was no milk. The walk into town for food takes about half an hour and follows a busy road through a tunnel, which wasn't relaxing. That's not the hotel's fault, of course.
