The terrace was the highlight for us, with a lovely look across to the new volcano and the lava reaching toward the sea. In July 2025, we could even see smoke from it in the morning when the wind was calm, so binoculars are worth bringing. Our two-bedroom apartment was huge and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of gear, though the furnishings are basic. There are three large apartments in the building. The pool was a good size, but there isn't much daytime shade. We spent a great week here and didn't miss air conditioning since it cools off quickly in the evenings. You'll want a car, as there isn't much in walking distance, though parking is next to the building.
