The farmhouse conversion is fascinating, and it made this feel very different from other hotels we've stayed in. Everything was clean and well kept, and the owner was both welcoming and interesting. We picked it as a stop to visit Zamora on our way home from the south of Spain, though getting there wasn't so easy.

The village is quite small, just so you know, but this little place is lovely. We had a large room, a delicious breakfast, and a beautiful garden area. The owner was friendly too. I'd happily recommend it.

On a clear night there are plenty of stars to see. The fresh breakfast felt very local, and the hotel is a real rural place, quite unlike a standard hotel. We stayed in the rooms above, where the wood kept crackling at night like we were in a ship's hull, so it took us a while to fall asleep. The place has the look of a haunted Mexican telenovela set, but we ended up pleasantly surprised.
