Mansion La Caballusa

The only slight drawback is needing to drive for lunch and dinner, though there are lots of places within a 10-minute drive. We'd definitely stay again and have already told friends about it. We spent two nights at this beautiful B&B. Dominique and Cristophe were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything for a comfortable visit. The room was cozy and spotless, and the bed was really comfortable.

The dinner was a real highlight. I'm vegetarian and often struggle to find good food in Spain, but mine was superb, and my meat-eating husband had a fabulous meal too. The prices were very reasonable, and the final bill was much lower than we expected. And the icing on the cake was a gorgeous puppy, only eight weeks old! We came while visiting the wineries in Jumellia. This is one of the friendliest, nicest hotels I've stayed in. From arrival we were treated like friends, and nothing was too much trouble. There are five individually furnished rooms, and since the hotel was quiet, we could choose ours. The bed was amazing. We're already planning to come back in September. I highly recommend a visit.

I joined family who were staying here for dinner, and the food was the best I've had in all my years in Spain. It began with artisan bread, then three courses of beautifully presented dishes, each bringing surprising bursts of flavour. I'll definitely eat here again and highly recommend it if you're in the area. What an exquisite B&B. The rooms are beautiful, and so is everything about this outstanding family-run place. The atmosphere is relaxed but refined, and we were greeted with warm, attentive service. Five stars.

I slept on the most comfortable bed I've ever known. The food was divine, unusual, delicious and filling, and clearly made with care. Jan and Renate are perfect hosts, focused on making sure you have a fantastic stay. My husband and I have just come back from Mansion La Caballusa, and it's stunning. Jan and Renate have lovingly restored the magnificent building into a beautiful guest house. There's still work to do, but it's already running as a guest house, full of rustic charm and unusual things in the rooms. It's set in glorious Spanish countryside, with almond, vine and olive trees just a few feet from the doorstep. A walker's paradise, and cycling would be a dream. I can't praise it enough and would recommend going to experience it for yourself. I feel blessed to have stayed there and wish Jan and Renate every success.
