Mucha Masia Hostel Rural-Urbà

I booked at the last minute for the night before my flight and arrived around 10:30 p.m. The street leading in was quite dark, and though the receptionist was very friendly, the stay was pretty awful. The room was a mess with other guests’ belongings, including underwear. My locker smelled like weed, and the bathroom was dirty and moldy. I had to get up around 3:30 for my flight and hoped to sleep a few hours, but guests were drinking loudly downstairs with the lights on all night. They were still there when I left in the morning. I got no sleep at all and would’ve been better off at the airport.

The welcoming staff were lovely, and coffee, tea, Cola Cao, and breakfast are free. It’s a great spot before an early flight, just a few metro stops from the airport. There are also relaxing places by the water about an hour’s walk away.

The bed was comfortable, the place was quiet for sleeping, and the toilet was clean. Check-in was smooth, and the lady who greeted me was friendly. It’s easy to find on Google Maps, but if you arrive after about 9 or 10 p.m., the street to the hostel is quiet and dark, so I’d avoid arriving then. There was no blanket or towel. A small locker is available for your things. Breakfast had free cornflakes and a banana, with juice, milk, and tea. You can order something more, but it’s a little pricey.

A welcoming hostel where it was easy to meet people. Everyone was super friendly, I really enjoyed staying here, and I’d definitely recommend it.
