A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Hostal Esperanza" is located in El Puerto de Santa Maria. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. Before going to bed, you can walk around the main landmarks of the city. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Fuente de las Galeras, Castle of San Marcos and Antigua Lonja de Pescado.

The location is hard to beat, and the rooms are quiet even though the street has lots of bars open late. That silence comes with a catch: the rooms are like tiny, damp dungeons, and the bathroom is beyond comment. This might suit people with very low standards for a place to sleep, or anyone planning to party all night.
The owner was kind, friendly, and attentive, and the hostel is in a good central area. Sleeping in the room was still very unpleasant. It was small, unhygienic, and had no ventilation. The tiny bathroom smelled of sewage and damp, and the extractor fan did nothing. The sheets were old, the pillow very thin, and the damp had left holes in the doors and made them impossible to close. The room service only made the bed and didn't clean the bathroom. I also found it quite dangerous that the water heater was inside the shower.
You can leave the car parked for your stay and get around on foot. There are restaurants of every kind within a kilometer, affordable parking nearby, plus a castle with tastings, churches, nightlife, and more. It's a good fit for a family trip if you don't need lots of luxuries. The owner was so kind, and went out of his way to help us find our car keys when we were leaving. He also kept our luggage after checkout, which was priceless.
I found the location a real luxury. The catamaran to Cádiz is just a 3-4 minute walk away, and Rafael Alberti's house, museums, the Osborne Museum, and more are all less than five minutes away. Parking nearby costs €4.95 for 24 hours. The accommodation suited exactly what I needed. Within 50 meters, there are €9 set menus, Chinese and kebab restaurants, and great pizzas for €9 with a liter of soda. You can also get a full breakfast for under €3 per person.
The location's good and the price is affordable. Service was fine, quite friendly, but the room had very little ventilation, the bathroom smelled a bit bad, and the bed was somewhat uncomfortable.
