It is 7 km from the Acebuche centre, the main visitor centre of Doñana National Park where the park can be visited. The beach is roughly 15 km away. The breakfast buffet was good, and the staff were very nice. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The hotel is comfortable and pleasant, right in the center of El Rocio village and very close to the main church. Good value, and easy to recommend.

The bar was quiet, understandably. But after we ordered three beers, one glass came only half full and the beer looked cloudy, while the other two were fine and full. We asked about it and were told that was the end of the barrel. They still charged us for all three. Rude, and we won't be back.

We decided to leave and pay rather than let this dinner spoil the start of our trip to Spain. We'd come to El Rocío for the fifth time, after visits in 1990, 1996, 2000, and 2018. It's an amazing town, and a unique way to experience Andalucía and Doñana. Our lunch and drinks at Toruño in 2018 with our kids had been fine. This dinner, though, was awful. We arrived late, around 21:30, with a friend. At the entrance, the waiter was nearly hostile and didn't welcome us. We couldn't go to the back, where a wedding party seemed to be wrapping up, or pick our own table. There was only one white wine available, and when we asked about it, the waiter was rude. Asking which fish they had was apparently too much too. We were told there were three kinds, but asking what they were got a dismissive response, so we ordered meat instead. Even asking for extra sauce brought visible impatience and more rudeness. We expected the gambas to be warm and grilled, but they arrived cold and too salty. Maybe we'd misunderstood, but when we tried to clear that up, the replies were curt. A female staff member cut in while we were still speaking, then walked off to get the main waiter. Again, very rude. In our opinion, Toruño doesn't understand hospitality or customer service. The staff seemed to take no pleasure in their work, and we wouldn't recommend eating there. Luckily, we found Cristina and had a simple but great dinner. We were surprised to realize it was the same place we'd visited on our first trip in 1990, when we were students interrailing through Europe. A lovely end to an otherwise disappointing evening.
