The prices are very affordable, the staff are helpful and friendly, and it’s quite clean. The room was okay, but noisy: you can hear traffic from the road right beside it and nearly everything happening in the other rooms on the floor. The bar has a real local feel, and the food is simple but good. It’s only 1 km from the sendera on the GR11.

This worked out really well for me as a budget stay: I could book a four-person room for private use for 25 Euro, only 10 Euro more than a single place in a shared room. After a rainy night in the mountains, I needed somewhere to dry my clothes and tent. There’s a bar with good food, and an excellent grocery store next door. The hostel is clean, the hosts are friendly and very helpful, and the prices are good. It’s a simple place, so don’t expect luxury. It’s just past Elizondo, but getting there from town isn’t much effort. My main issue was the ceiling window, which couldn’t be opened while it was raining, and there weren’t many other ways to get fresh air. Keep that in mind on a hot day.

A handy stop on a long-distance hike, with a good bar and a supermarket nearby, and quite nice for the price. The room got stuffy because the windows wouldn’t open. We asked about it and were told they’d been disabled after a rainstorm earlier that day. That’s why I’m giving it 3 stars.

I’ve been hiking for five weeks and have come across some badly managed places, though in the mountains you can’t always choose. That made me appreciate this place more. It’s basic, but the staff are very efficient, the food is reasonably good and fairly priced, the internet is fast, and generally everything works. A perfect place to stay while hiking.

The rooms are okay, there’s enough space, and prices are very good for both the stay and the restaurant menu. Staff are friendly, though you’ll need to speak a little Spanish. This hostel just outside the village was a good base for my hiking trip.
