El Rincón de Piedra Apartamentos Rurales

The town of Enguidanos was wonderful, and its people are very friendly. I can’t say the same about the apartment. The owner was irresponsible and wouldn’t answer when we called, even though he was quick to take our money. Laura, the woman who handed over the keys, was very nice. We’d paid for a larger apartment but were given smaller ones by mistake. That was eventually sorted out. There was no heating, the kitchenware was a disaster, and both sinks leaked. Worst of all, water dripped from condensation in the bedroom. The whole stay was a mess, and I’ll never return.

The terrace has beautiful views, and the service and food are hard to beat. I’ve spent summers in this town for more than 25 years, and this is hands down the best place to eat. We went with friends last weekend and liked it so much that we came back every day for lunch or dinner. We felt welcome and well looked after, especially while enjoying the grilled meats and patatas bravas. The food was delicious. Thanks for both the meal and the care.

The village is worth visiting, and the area is lovely for hiking or spending a weekend, maybe two nights. Prices are very good right now. There aren’t many people around, whether at the hostel, in the village, or by the waterfalls. I hope things get sorted out soon so the waterfalls can be used for more than hiking again, like before the DANA storm. As far as I know, swimming is still not allowed, and I think rafting isn’t either, though I’m not quite sure what it’s called! 😅 We were there last weekend. There are apartments with a restaurant downstairs, and the two people running it are fantastic. Greetings to the goatherd working on the path to the waterfalls. He’s quite a character and a great person!

It’s the middle of December, and we weren’t told about the heating problem when we booked. When we arrived, they said it wasn’t working and gave us two gas heaters that didn’t work either. That’s no solution, and the owner can’t be reached. They don’t provide complaint forms, either. This same thing happened to us several years ago, and it still hasn’t been fixed. We’re staying in these apartments now, but I can’t recommend the place.
