Hotel Spa Villa Pasiega

The surrounding area is lovely and quiet, and my room was spacious, attractive, with comfortable beds. The buffet price was fair, though you have to be patient: the meat comes in mini portions instead of a whole steak, so you keep ordering more and the process gets frustrating. Room 603 had several problems. The shower didn’t heat properly, and other guests had complained about that at reception too. The towel heater was supposedly off throughout the hotel. The reading light above the desk wasn’t screwed in properly, though I fixed it myself. Reception staff seemed to accept that this was just how things were. The spa has a huge infrastructure, but in winter all the pools were barely warm.

The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were comfortable and a good size. The spa was good, though it can get noisy when lots of children are there. It works well for a short stay. The evening buffet is reasonably priced, but it isn’t as good as it used to be.

We were only there for one night on the way to Santander. The room and bathroom were both spacious, and breakfast à la carte the next morning was great. I was using crutches, and the hotel was accessible for me. We couldn’t try the free spa because of my health. A very loud family on our floor kept going in and out that night, and it was hard to fall asleep, which took some of the shine off the stay.

The staff were polite, friendly, and helpful, and we were very happy with the service. There was plenty of good food, and our huge room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was excellent too, though I was startled when I opened its window after a shower and found it faced another room’s windows 😂. The room has AC, which only works with the windows closed, as you’d expect. There are spa facilities, but we didn’t use them, so I can’t comment. The location in town means there’s noise pollution when the windows are open. Still, we had a really enjoyable stay and I’d recommend it and come back. Thank you.
