We paid 100 Euros five months ahead for one night in June during our Camino. When we arrived at hotel Eco Nos, they said our room had water damage and sent us to a different hotel in another town, five kilometers away, which cost €50. Other guests still got their rooms, and we hadn’t been warned in advance. We asked the hotel and booking.com for the €50 difference back, but neither would refund anything. This was unacceptable. The hotel didn’t provide the room or services we paid for and kept the money. Avoid it at all costs.

The setting is superb and the decor is very tasteful. The food was good, though some dishes were better than others. Service was a little slow.

We had a great time hanging out in the lovely garden with Juan. The hotel sits right on the Camino and had only recently changed operators, so it was still in its early days. The kitchen wasn’t operating yet, which meant we couldn’t eat there, but Juan went out of his way to drive us into town for a delicious meal with excellent wine. He has good plans for the hotel, and with his passion and skills as a talented chef, I’m sure he and his team will make Econos a success. The spaces are beautiful. A must-stop on your Camino walk!

I booked through Booking.com two months ahead, but they tried to charge me for the room a week before the date in my reservation. When I asked about it, they gave no explanation and canceled the booking. Their customer service and reservation handling are shameful.
