The home-cooked dinner and breakfast were just what we needed after several days on the trail, simple and really decent. We stopped here for the night while hiking the GR11, making a last-minute decision because of the thunderstorms. They took us in without any trouble even though we hadn't called, and were very kind despite our limited Spanish. The shower and toilet were clean, and the 12-bed room was decent, with a locker for each person. Thanks for everything!

If reaching Auritz feels like too much for one day, this is a good place to stop along the trail between Elizondo and Auritz. The hosts are very helpful, and dinner and breakfast were excellent. The shared rooms were clean and the facilities worked well for travelers. I found it closed before 5 PM; if that happens to you in bad weather, there's a small covered spot about 15 meters past the hostel's main entrance where you can shelter.

The rooms and bathroom were very clean, but 45 euros felt like a lot compared with other places along the GR11. Dinner didn't work for me, though tastes are personal. The pasta was half cold and half lukewarm. Breakfast was okay, but the baguette had been toasted much too hard.

My friend Juan Jose Llados pointed me to this albergue, and wow, what an experience. It's such a beautiful place, hard to put into words. I'd give it 10/10. There was plenty of room for my burpees and to park my shelby cobra gt500.

They gave us a place by the fire when we came in cold, served us good food, and had a perfectly adequate place for us to sleep. That's what a night's shelter should be. Thanks for the hospitality!
