Barceló Hamilton Menorca - Adults Only

The views over the waterway into Mahon are great, with large and small boats passing by. The rooftop terrace and spa pools catch plenty of sun, and the restaurant had a good selection of food. Our room was nice, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. A great hotel in a good location.

We came back to the Hamilton after ten years away. The rooms are comfortable and stylish, and both the pool and rooftop hot tubs have bars. The main lounge and bar in the lobby felt a little lifeless, though. There were a few small problems on this visit: our window didn’t quite latch, and some hot tub jets weren’t working. Even so, it’s a great place to stay, with Cales Fonts just around the corner.

After five years of staying here, this visit felt noticeably different. The focus seemed to be on turnover through companies like Jet 2, rather than the personal, attentive service we’d had before. The day before we were due to leave, the hotel told us we’d overstayed by a night because of a serious booking error. Then, while we were out, an employee went into our room and left the door open with our valuables in view. If quality is a priority, I can’t recommend the place now.

We’re back for another year, and the hotel has surpassed our expectations again. Antonio, the manager, and Laura Cabellos, the assistant manager, gave us a warm welcome and excellent service. Everyone on the team is friendly and ready to help. The restaurants and bars are fantastic, and our favourite is the Sky Bar on the top floor, with its breathtaking views. We absolutely love this hotel and recommend it 100%.
