Penthouse Bermuda Beach 2

We travelled from London to Marbella with seven family members for what was initially a three-day stay. I had provided everyone's names, ages and email addresses when booking. We told the owner we'd arrive between midnight and 3 a.m. Only after booking, just hours before we got there, we were told there'd be an extra £65 charge for arriving late. We agreed, and were given the number for Eder, who was meant to hand over the keys. At 2:20 a.m. we messaged him that we were two minutes away. We arrived, everything seemed fine, and the property was perfect. Four of my family went on to another city for two days, so I asked to extend our stay by two days. The extension was approved, but I then realised I couldn't afford the amount being requested. I asked to return to our original checkout date and was refused. I was told I could stay for the extension at the flat price previously offered, and agreed. They said I'd get back the €250 I was being charged for the extension. On our last day, I called Nadia to say I was leaving. The person who answered said Eder had told them there were 11 of us, not seven. That baffled me, especially since four family members hadn't even been at the property for two of the days. I asked the owner to check the CCTV to confirm the number of guests and to ask Eder why he'd said that. I got no response. I'm appalled by what felt like attempts to get money from me using lame excuses. I might have understood otherwise, but this behaviour had been constant since I asked for an extension and then tried to retract it. I've never dealt with anything like this on Airbnb, and wouldn't recommend the place. Be very careful if you stay there.

Handy place to rent.

The beach right outside is mostly pebbles, so for a swim it’s worth walking along it in either direction. There are lots of dog tags on the sand, which is the one drawback, though it’s not the hotel’s fault. The accommodation itself feels nice and refined, with a sea view, and Estepona is easy to reach by car or bus.

Waking up to the sea and sunrise each morning made for a wonderful holiday. Everything was neat and clean, including the lawn by the pool and the pool itself, which were both well looked after. Guests can enter the fenced pool area with a resort card. We came away with lovely memories.
