The room was a converted garage, but it was clean, spacious, and nice. Check-in was advertised from noon, yet when we arrived at 2.30 there was no answer after knocking and ringing several times over the next hour. There was no note on the door or any other contact information. I eventually reached them on WhatsApp, and the owner showed up ten minutes later. Not a great first impression. There were no tea or coffee facilities.

The rooms are small, traditionally furnished, and have no air conditioning. One room upstairs has its own bathroom, while the others share one. Rosa offers breakfast, but she and her husband live away from the pension, just before the bridge, and the pension is a few minutes away. Rosa speaks only Spanish.

I had breakfast here, and it was delicious and filling. I ended up staying two nights to rest my knee after straining it on the dangerous hill down into Zubiri. Luckily, this Pension had a free room. The small room was comfortable and clean, and I was pleased to have my own clean bathroom. I got a room on the first floor, so I didn't have to climb stairs. There was also a door out to the terrace and back yard, which made it easy to reach the outdoor clothes lines. Remember to stop at the owner's house next to the bridge to say you've arrived before going to the Pension. I'd definitely stay here again.

A quiet, lovely pension beside the creek, convenient for a one-night stay and a good place for pilgrims. One thing to remember: stop at the owner's house next to the bridge before going to the pension.
