The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the owners were quick to replace an extra bed that turned out to be broken, even though we only noticed late at night. There were 13 of us staying over Easter week. The palace is impressive and takes a little getting used to as you find your way around, but it soon feels welcoming. It looks historic, though it’s been restored for modern needs. There are stairs up to the rooms, which could be difficult for anyone with reduced mobility. Still, staying in a palace like this for a few days was wonderful. We’ll be back!

The owners made us feel very welcome, and the whole palace was spotlessly clean. We stayed for seven days in August. There’s a lovely grand porch, and the beds are very comfortable. The house makes an impression as soon as you walk in, with its spacious rooms and living areas.

A pretty little village, with plenty to do and see. It gets lively from March through September, and again in the second half of December and first half of January. The palace itself feels like a dream, with lots of space and elegance, and it’s a great place to spend time with family or friends. I’d recommend it for celebrations, a relaxing break, retreats, and all sorts of occasions.
