Hotel Solymar

My partner and I stayed for five days and had a pleasant time. It's a low-budget place, but you get what you pay for and it was a nice spot to stay. The room was clean, and housekeeping did their job. Staff were polite, helpful and available around the clock. The location was convenient too. I'd come back.

I liked that you leave your key at reception whenever you go out, one less thing to keep track of. The staff were very friendly and ready to help with anything. I stayed pleasantly in a quiet room at night. I'd seen reviews mentioning noise, but the only disturbance I experienced was in the mornings, when cleaning staff arrived and sometimes spoke loudly or slammed doors. Otherwise, it was peaceful. There's a small shared kitchenette with a microwave and a self-service machine for coffee, juices and snacks. The hotel is near the sea in a quiet neighborhood. I was traveling alone and walked around in the daytime and at dusk without any problems. Restaurants and supermarkets are right nearby, as are public transport stops with connections across the city. The city centre is about a 20-minute walk away.
