That pool issue is what put us off most. Several small tiles are missing, and the tiles above the waterline are greenish from not having been cleaned in a long time. We could tolerate that, but not the unsecured suction pipe lying at the bottom. It was about 5 to 6 cm wide, tucked into a depression so you wouldn’t bump into it, and all the water for the pump was drawn through it with very strong suction. We had four children with us who swim and dive well, but once we realized there might be a risk, every adult took a turn acting as lifeguard. I emailed Las Islas on the first day. They said they’d forwarded my complaint to property management, but nobody contacted us again or took responsibility. Such a shame, the finca has potential, but we wouldn’t rent it again. I wish I’d had more information beforehand. We’ve just returned, and the lovely memories of Mallorca and the finca are still with us. The setting is fantastic, quiet and green, and the terrace is huge with plenty of seating. The place wasn’t dirty, but it wasn’t kept up to our standards either. Our room was small, its bathroom wasn’t very nice, and the light walls still showed remains from insects previous guests had squashed. The other three bedrooms were okay, and the corner room under the pool was very nice. Three double rooms are under the pool, while one is in the main house. There’s a very steep staircase from it to the living area, though you can also use the outside stairs. The furnishings are functional. With two families, a second gate key would have been useful since we had to coordinate with each other. The interim cleaning was excellent, and the Spanish woman doing it was very nice.

We loved the west-facing spot for its breathtaking sunsets. The finca, grounds, and pool were clean and well cared for. A great choice for family celebrations.
