We kept returning to El Parador during our five days in Felechosa over New Years, eating there four times. Other restaurants were often closed, had no hot food, or needed bookings well ahead, and El Parador was open when we needed a meal. The food was delicious, with some lovely local flavors. Even when it was packed, the hardworking staff looked after us attentively and made sure we were comfortable. My wife and I enjoyed the nearby snow activities, and we highly recommend the restaurant.

Those jamon and queso balls were greaaat! The cachopo was good, though not quite perfect, and honestly the fries could be better.

The desserts were tasty, though they could be better. Everything else we tried was delicious, and the cider was excellent. We hadn't expected much when we first arrived, but we came back the next night, only staying away after our skiing adventure ended. Get the house salad, croquettes, cachopos, and fabada. We'll be back on our next trip to San Isidro, it's a great find.

The replacement entrecote was really good, but I'm still annoyed that I can't tell whether the cachopo was a one-off or something they usually serve. The one we ordered with cecina and goat cheese was almost all breading, with the meat flattened nearly out of sight and barely any filling. I asked the waiter to check if that was normal or just a bad cachopo, but he didn't explain either way. At least they did replace it with the entrecote. The fabes tasted good but arrived a little cold, and the bread was stale. Everything else was more than acceptable. Hopefully we can return next year, try a different cachopo, and give them another chance 😊

The cheesecake was the last straw. I'm a big fan, but this one was so hard and burnt that I couldn't enjoy it. The dishes weren't worth their prices either: the cachopo, cabrito, and paleta were all just so-so. With the fabada, they forgot the side dishes until we asked. It had been talked up a lot, but after eating there yesterday, I wasn't impressed with the quality for the cost. I definitely wouldn't return.
