It's such a quiet, relaxed place, and the owners are friendly, attentive and ready to help. Having your own transport would be ideal, since you can reach all parts of the island in around 20 minutes and the airport in about 30. We enjoyed the locally sourced breakfast and dinner options, and our one dinner there was well worth it: lovely taste, generous portion, and very nice presentation. Compliments to the chef. We ate with a view of the sunset, mountains and sea. I recommend it, and thank you.

The walk to the viewpoint is short and well worth doing for the island scenery. We also got to meet the animals and have a lovely chat with Tomeu, whose parents settled here years ago. The breakfast was delicious, especially the grilled cheese made on site, so be sure to ask for it. The pool looked modest in the photos, but it was excellent in person, and we nearly always had the deck to ourselves. Son Vives delivered the peace and quiet we wanted. It's a rural hotel and the drive up the hill makes that clear, but for us that was a plus. Even though it's remote, it has what you'd expect from a hotel in this category. Our room was probably the smallest, but that suited us. The water pressure was amazing, the bed comfortable, and the temperature cozy at summer's end. This was our second visit to Menorca, and it won't be our last. After staying here, we may keep coming back. There seemed to be staff around, but reception or concierge is available only half the day. It's worth understanding that this is also a working farm: the amenities are there, but you do need to manage some things yourself. We didn't mind, though others might.

I came in May on my own, and as a woman travelling solo, I can absolutely recommend it. I wanted a real break from everyday stress, and that's what I got: phone away, deep breaths, nature and animals all around. Sitting quietly with the birds or watching the calm cows was a dream. My suite had a peaceful view and felt a little more private and quiet. The other rooms looked thoughtfully designed too. Everything was spotless, the views were breathtaking, and everyone was kind and attentive. I also treated myself to a wonderfully relaxing massage. Breakfast is lovingly made, with fresh, delicious cake each day. It's not a huge chain hotel buffet, which was exactly what I wanted. In the morning you can tell them what you'd like for dinner, so they cook only what's needed, something I really appreciate. A bit more choice might be nice, though. I stayed four nights and it was even better than I expected. I'll definitely come back.
