Loar Ferreries Apartments

Ferreries is a handy spot, right in the middle of the island and close to everything. The rooms were clean and fully equipped, and the restaurant was excellent. It's a family business, and everyone was super nice and helpful. We definitely plan to return, 100% recommended!

The restaurant food was lovely, and I enjoyed the rooftop pool. The apartment rooms were a good size and very clean. I would have liked a kettle and tea or coffee in the room, but it wasn't a big issue. The location is central, with good bus routes to Ciutadella, Mao and Cala Galdana. There are supermarkets nearby, plus lots of cafes and bars with a good range of food and drinks.

One of the best parts was being in the middle of a real town community rather than a seasonal tourist spot. Just steps from the hotel were the square, shops and restaurants, live music and dancing, a gelato shop and a pastesserie. It was a unique, joyful way to experience a different community and culture. We ate at the attached bar restaurant a few times too. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions generous and delicious. We spent three weeks in studio apartment #103, which made our stay especially pleasant. The beds were twin and adequate, though a little hard. From the balcony we looked over an inner courtyard, with hills in the distance. The kitchen had everything we needed, including dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, soap and cloths. The fridge and freezer worked great for preparing frozen water bottles before beach days and hikes. The bathroom had been beautifully remodelled, and housekeeping kept everything impeccably clean every day. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi were lovely, with spectacular views over town and the surrounding hills. Tables and loungers were available. The reception staff were all friendly and helpful, and Maria Angeles, Fabian and Deri made us feel welcome with their greetings and tourist tips. Deri, one of the owners, was especially kind in arranging a nearby suite for friends who visited us, even though we asked late. This hotel is centrally placed on the island, which worked especially well since we rented a car and wanted to explore every region. Most places were an easy 10-30 minute drive away. Parking was on side streets, but fairly easy to figure out and convenient. Buses also run through town for anyone without a car. The three-week stay was a pleasure, and we wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend the hotel and location, especially to people renting a car. Loar Ferreries is a wonderful home base for a holiday.

Family owned and run, with thoroughly professional staff and a wonderful kitchen. Don't miss the Menu de Dia Especial. It's one of the most amazing small hotels I've stayed in.
