I was there with a group of geologists on 29 and 30 September 2024, and we were all impressed by the food. Group dinners can be hard to get right, but the chef put out a superb meal. The roast lamb was juicy, with nicely grilled vegetables, including capsicum and baby asparagus, served over tasty, tender paella-style rice, alongside perfectly roasted baby potatoes. I came back for dinner another night. The roasted beef chunks and baby potatoes were lovely, and my companion couldn’t stop praising the tender, flavorful, perfectly cooked “secreto ibérico.” The chef’s special ice cream with torrone finished off a surprisingly memorable meal. The chef also recommended excellent wines. The hotel itself was a great find and excellent value, with spacious, comfortable rooms that were spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There’s plenty of parking for guests, and the buffet breakfast was adequate. The room was comfortable, modern, and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well appointed. My only reason for not giving five stars is that the cafeteria menu is quite limited.

Room service was the part that let me down: I ordered food but was told to pick it up in the lobby. In all my travels, I’ve only had that kind of inconvenience at two hotels, one in a remote village in Huelva and this one. Its location isn’t ideal either, though the hotel does have some features that make it different from others. I think the staff or management could benefit from experiencing the sort of service and convenience expected elsewhere, such as in the United States. I could file a complaint, but I mainly want people to understand how basic services affect a guest’s stay. Even with this drawback, I saw some redeeming qualities and room for improvement.

The staff were so kind, and my room was big, comfy, and had everything I needed, including a mini fridge and hairdryer. It’s a little outside the city center, but with a car it’s easy to get to, and parking is included. Highly recommended.
