Alqueria B&B

A lovely breakfast, with lovely staff too.

The place needs a lot of cleaning and maintenance, and the photos don’t match what it’s actually like. The oven was filthy, and the old refrigerator keeps leaking water and doesn’t work efficiently. The barbecue chimney doesn’t draw properly, so smoke blows into the cooking area. One bedroom air conditioning unit drips onto the terrace where people eat. Honestly, I can’t recommend this villa.

The access road is the one real drawback, since the track is narrow and passing someone going the other way can be tricky. Inside, though, there’s plenty of space for meals and time with friends, plus cosy spots to chat or read, a barbecue, and a pool. The house is charming, surrounded by orange and lemon trees, and works for a few days or a longer stay. We’ll really miss having breakfast in the sun!

The pool is the only thing I’d keep. The access is awful and the signs are poor, the gardens are neglected, and cleanliness is lacking. The rooms are okay, but the beds are small. The kitchen was dirty and the oven filthy. Never again.
