Casa Rural El Retiro

The rooms are roomy and spotless, though they’re not the most modern, and the bathroom is spacious too. There’s a lovely, well-kept garden, a large swimming pool, and several comfortable spots to sit. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, perfect for relaxing, and we got a friendly welcome. Villa Joyosa and Benidorm are both about a 20-minute drive away. I’d happily return.

We were treated wonderfully, and the service was impeccable. The common areas are great, with a courtyard for breakfast, a huge living room, and gardens all around the house. There’s a pool, sun loungers, and even mini-golf. Our room was large, with a TV and Wi-Fi. Finestrat is just two minutes away, and Benidorm is about a 20-minute drive.

The owners were very friendly, the location is great, and we’ll definitely come back. The pool was really clean, and the gardens were well cared for. If I had one complaint, it’d be that the mattress was a little too soft. Everything else was great, and I highly recommend the place. As for the mosquitoes, well, it’s the countryside. A mosquito coil and a wristband should do the trick.

Thanks, Paco, for being so kind. We had a wonderful few days here. It’s a lovely spot to relax, with a pool and a big garden looking out at Mount Puigcampana. There’s a small mini-golf course too, and the house has a pretty interior patio full of plants. There are plenty of interesting places nearby: Altea’s beautiful old town, the family-friendly beach at Villajoyosa, the Chocolate Museum, Benidorm, Polop, and the picturesque village of Guadalest.
