Hotel Alén do mar

We had a balcony that was lovely for an afternoon drink, with superb sea views and blackout blinds for when we needed them. The rooms were large, very clean, and had a small fridge. It’s a short walk to the beach, though the restaurants nearby were closed in the off season, so getting to the town centre took a 15 minute drive. Checkout was 12 MD. Breakfast is optional and served on site, with great coffee. A very relaxing stay, with a friendly welcome.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the quiet end of the main beach, which was perfect for us. We were a big, noisy family, but the staff at Alen Do Mar were incredible and nothing felt like too much trouble. This family-run place was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. They made our holiday more relaxing and memorable. We can highly recommend it.

A few minutes' drive from Fisterra, this little hotel has a terrace with a lovely view over the beach and ocean, only 100 m away. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. Breakfast comes as one more elaborate option rather than the usual buffet. The choice is definitely limited, though if something doesn't suit you, they'll try to offer an alternative. I ended up liking it more than most hotel breakfasts I've had. At 75€/night, the room price matched the hotel's quality and location.

From our balcony we had wonderful views of the woods and especially the water. The room was well appointed, and the walk to the all-but-private beach was short. Town is about 3 km away, or a 5 Euro cab ride, but walking there was a treat in itself, mostly alongside the beach. We stayed a couple of nights at Alen do Mar and loved it. The owners and staff looked after every need. We had to leave before breakfast service began, and they told us to come to the dining area so they could make sure we had something to eat. If we visit Fisterra again, we’ll stay at Alen do mar.
