La Rectoria de Sant Climent

Josep and Lidia were always attentive, and whenever we needed help they came through straight away. We had a very pleasant weekend and would highly recommend staying here. The property is only 8 km from Tamariu and close to the beaches along the Costa Brava. We were two families of five, staying in Ca l'Esclopater and Ca la Heidi for the San Juan festival. Another group was in La Rectoría, but we hardly crossed paths apart from in the passageways. The three units sleep about 15, 5 in beds (7-8 with the sofa bed), and 4 in beds (5-6 with the sofa bed), respectively. There’s loads for kids and adults to do: two pools, a basketball hoop, BBQ, ping-pong, badminton, and a dedicated area with chickens and ducks. The whole place is fenced, which was great with six little ones, the oldest just eight. The houses were very clean, had more than we expected, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, though phone reception was limited. My only small gripe is having no bins at the houses, and needing to move the car 200 metres. That’s only an issue if you don’t fancy the walk.

Sébastien and Jean-Luc made us feel very welcome and looked after us so well. They showed us the area and shared some great restaurant suggestions. It’s a lovely place, and we’ve booked a bigger apartment to return with friends this summer.

There’s plenty of outdoor space to unwind, and the owners are warm and helpful. The property is a well-preserved group of three 18th-century houses. One has an attached church that’s currently being restored. Highly recommended.

Josep and Lídia made us feel at home with their hospitality and willingness to make us comfortable. It’s a historic, cultural place that works well for families, with a quiet corner to enjoy with your partner or family and switch off for a while.
