There are at least four really nice restaurants around the main square, which feels especially authentic. We also caught a show in the town hall, built in 1608, and saw the bakery dating from 1246. Just 100m from the village is the river, and a lovely hermitage with gorgeous views is only 800m away.

The one time this place let me down, it was because I couldn't stay for San andon. I'd booked Saturday night, but the organizers moved the fiesta to Friday, and since I was working Saturday morning, I had to miss it. It's meant to be incredible, with the town full and fires in the streets, so it's really worth seeing. Usually, I stay here on my way to mountain biking in Teruel and eat well. The outside is attractive and well preserved, the interior is ultra chic, just my taste, and the staff are well trained and generally live up to expectations.

The regional ingredients were a particular favorite. The restaurant served amazing food at a very accessible price, a five star experience.

The restaurant was closed while we were there. It's a lovely little boutique hotel in a pretty rural town. The spa costs extra, but you get it to yourself.

A great place to stay, and it looks just like the photos online. They should improve the breakfast service!
