The parking is free and there’s plenty of it, but getting through the huge holes is awful. There’s no other way to drive in, and I wouldn’t park there without full insurance. The beach itself isn’t very big, but there’s enough room, even when it’s busy. I went Sunday and Wednesday and there were lots of people both times, mostly families with children. There’s a public toilet, though I didn’t try it. The water has lovely colors and is warm, but it’s often windy and wavy. Sometimes the waves get very strong and big; when they’re smaller, it’s a great place to be. Es Arenals, Ses Illetes, and Es Pujols are the only three beaches on the island I’d say are worth visiting.

For me, this is the best beach in Formentera, even though most people would probably say Platja Illetas. It’s at the southern end, around a 20-25 minute scooter ride from the ferry port. There’s lots of free parking, and the beach is long, wide, and very clean. The water is crystal clear and shallow, so you can walk quite far without getting your upper body wet. If you’re lucky, a few harmless fish might swim near you. When we visited in Apr 2022, one restaurant was open.

A peaceful, lovely beach, with a quiet, airy feel, though it gets very windy. Keep in mind there are no restaurants, toilets, or changing rooms. You can only get there by car.

The water was beautiful, and you can see the sunset clearly from here. It’s easy to get into the water, and the beach is close to the parking lot. It was less crowded than other beaches, with a restaurant right beside it if you need food or a drink. You can also rent shaded spots with beds for a fee.
